Closing time for the Twinning project with the Algerian Scientific and Technical Police
The French-Spanish Twinning project with Algeria aiming to strengthen scientific and technical expertise and implementation of a quality management system within the Algerian scientific and technical police came to an end on March 31, 2022 after two years and a half (and a suspension due to the pandemic).
CIVIPOL was working on this project on behalf of the Ministry of the Interior, represented by the Central Service for the Technical and Scientific Police (SCPTS – Service Central de la Police Technique et Scientifique) in a consortium with the Spanish General Commissary of Scientific Police (CGPC – Commissariat Général de Police Scientifique) and its operator FIIAPP (Fundación Internacional y para Iberoamérica de Administración y Políticas Públicas).
It successfully managed to reach most results towards :
- strengthening the institutional and technical capacities of the Quality Assurance Department
- updating the staff’s skills and the quality assurance management system
- leading a certain number of methodologies with the aim of achieving the status “ready to be accredited” in the near future.
This twinning was a success and reinforced scientific and technical expertise with staff ready to train their colleagues, manage internal audits and accompany the other departments on the same pathway.
