Our missions and values

CIVIPOL is the technical cooperation operator of the French Ministry of the Interior. Combining the efficiency of a private company with the power of its public service mission, and financed almost exclusively by international sponsors, CIVIPOL builds cooperative security projects with states on a fair return basis in internal security. The unique skills of our project leaders and operational experts are dedicated to the principles of interior security of states.

Based on these principles, CIVIPOL:

  • assists in the area of standardisation,
  • builds specialized expertise,
  • ensures the interoperability of internal security systems on national, regional and international levels.

CIVIPOL also supports exportation in the internal security industry through the Milipol group.

  • Corporate governance

    As the international technical cooperation operator of the Ministry of the Interior, CIVIPOL’s main shareholders, direct or indirect, are in the public sector. CIVIPOL is governed by a management board and an audit committee. The office of chairman and chief executive has been occupied since 2017 by the prefect Yann Jounot.

    A management committee headed by Mr Jounot oversees CIVIPOL’s daily business. The other members of the committee are: Omar Mérabet holds the office of advisor to the chairman; Bertrand Barbé, assistant to the chairman and chief executive, director of operations and development and Pierre-Yves Buquet is the strategy and security advisor.
