Prevention, Preparedness and Response to natural and man-made Disasters, Region South, Phase III (PPRD South III)

Successor to the PPRD South II project.

The aim is to help partner countries design and implement strategies to strengthen their resilience to disasters whether natural or man-made.

The project, funded by the European Neighbourhood Instrument through PAGODA II delegated management, is implemented by Expertise France, leader of the European consortium comprising:

  • The Italian civil protection;
  • The Spanish civil protection and FIIAPP;
  • France (DGSCGC) & CIVIPOL.

The idea is to ensure continuity of the previous programmes (PPRD I led by the Italians, PPRD II led by CIVIPOL) and thus gradually enable Mediterranean countries through this third phase to join the European Civil Protection Mechanism.
