The Prometheus project team visited Adjara region, in western Georgia, on the shores of the Black Sea, from May 17 to 21, to organize two training sessions on 1st line documentary fraud for the Georgian Patrol Police.
This training, whose content comes from the educational program of the French Border Police, took place in Sarpi, at the Georgian-Turkish land border checkpoint. Thirty police officers, from Sarpi but also from Batumi airport, attended the course.
This training course was greatly appreciated by the trainees, who actively participated and were awarded a certificate at the end of it.
These two sessions are the first of a 12-sessions training program on 1st line documentary fraud, divided between Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Sarpi.
Prometheus Project has been implemented in close cooperation with the International Relations Department of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs since 2019. Co-funded by ICMPD, project's aim is to enhance the capacities of the Georgian authorities in the field of integrated border management and migration.
